Are shaft-mounted gear reducers supplied with oil?

The RP2C SERIES and RP1C 168 gear reducers are lubricated with oil and supplied without oil.

The RP1C 122 and 160 SERIES gear reducers are lubricated and supplied with grease.



What data are needed to correctly identify the most suitable reducer for a specific need?

If you do not have a photo/identification plate to immediately meet the request, here a list of some information you might use to identify the most appropriate gear reducer for your needs: 

– OUTPOWER POWER or OUTPUT TORQUE
–INPUT AND OUTPUT SPEED (approximated)
 –Operation conditions, to obtain the correct SERVICE FACTOR
– Physical COMPATIBILITY between speed reducer and driven machine

How do I install a shaft-mounted gear reducer?

The reducers are mounted directly on the hollow shaft of the machine to be operated; to find out the recommended dimensions of the shaft, please refer to our catalogue.

Are gear reducers noisy?

Generally, gear reducers are not too noisy even though a certain amount of noise is normal. If you are experiencing abnormal sounds you must check the correct installation of your reducer. You can send us a video requiring our advice.

How to mount the gear reducer correctly so as not to overload the high-speed shaft?

Follow our advice:

– Use the pulleys which have the largest diameter available.
-Fit the pulleys as close as possible to the gear reducer. 
– Avoid excessive tensioning of the V-Belt to safeguard bearings in both the engine and the reducer. 

Is it possible to check if the required dimensions and weights are correct?

For each type of reducer and every size, drawings are available in DXF, PDF, XT, IGS and 3D STEP formats. 

Is it possible to get special diameters not included in the catalogue?

When possible it is recommended to implement the gear reducer on a shaft of diameter equivalent to that of the hollow shaft catalogue. If needed, you can build hollow shafts of different diameters. The catalogue shows the maximum diameter available for each size of the RP 2C SERIES.  

How do I order a non-commercial replacement?

To get a non-commercial replacement, in addition to the position and its relative denomination, it is necessary to specify the gear transmission ratio indicated on the plate.

I riduttori pendolari della SERIE RP 2C sono lubrificati ad OLIO e vengono forniti SENZA OLIO.

I riduttori pendolari della SERIE RP 1C 122 E RP 1C 160 sono lubrificati a GRASSO e vengono forniti con grasso.

Il riduttore pendolare della SERIE RP 1C 168 è lubrificato ad OLIO e viene fornito SENZA OLIO.

Quali sono i dati necessari ad individuare correttamente il riduttore più adatto per una determinata esigenza?

Se non si dispone di foto e/o di targhetta identificativa in modo da poter soddisfare immediatamente la richiesta, i dati necessari affinché si possa individuare il RIDUTTORE PENDOLARE adatto per un determinato motore e/o determinate esigenze sono:

  • POTENZA IN USCITA oppure MOMENTO TORCENTE IN USCITA
  • VELOCITÀ IN USCITA e IN ENTRATA approssimata.
  • Condizioni di funzionamento per poter definire il FATTORE DI SERVIZIO fs.
  • Compatibilità nelle DIMENSIONI tra riduttore pendolare e macchina azionata.

Come avviene l’installazione di un riduttore pendolare?

I riduttori vengono montati direttamente sull’albero della macchina da azionare, per le dimensioni dell’albero macchina consigliate di prega di consultare il nostro catalogo.

I riduttori pendolari sono rumorosi?

Generalmente, i riduttori pendolari non sono eccessivamente rumorosi; una certa rumorosità è normale, ma se si verificano suoni anomali è necessario verificare la corretta installazione ed inviare un video, richiedendo una consulenza.

Come montare correttamente il riduttore per non sovraccaricare l’albero veloce?

Si consiglia di:

  • utilizzare pulegge di diametro il più grande possibile
  • montare le pulegge il più vicino possibile alla battuta dell’albero
  • non tendere eccessivamente le cinghie per non sovraccaricare i cuscinetti del motore e del riduttore.
È possibile verificare se le dimensioni e i pesi richiesti sono quelle corretti?
Per ogni tipo di riduttore e per ogni grandezza, sono disponibili disegni in formato DXF, PDF, XT, IGS e 3D STEP.
È possibile avere diametri speciali diversi da catalogo?

Quando  possibile si consiglia di installare il riduttore su un albero di diametro equivalente a quello dell’albero cavo da catalogo, In caso di impossibilità, si possono costruire ALBERI CAVI DI DIAMETRO DIVERSO.

Nel catalogo è indicato il DIAMETRO massimo disponibile per ogni grandezza della SERIE RP 2C.

Come faccio ad ordinare un ricambio NON commerciale?

Per ordinare un ricambio non commerciale, occorre specificare oltre alla posizione e alla relativa denominazione particolare, la grandezza del riduttore e il rapporto di riduzione indicati in targhetta.
