The RP SERIES shaft-mounted gear reducers are the most commonly used gearboxes, enabling two different reduction stages. This is made possible utilizing spur gears, allowing to improve machines’ performances and efficiency while bettering reduction ratios. 

Whenever belt transmission between the engine and the gearbox is required, they are implemented directly on the hollow shaft of the machine to be controlled. 

The CASING is grey cast iron with reinforcements and cooling ribs while the GEARS, steeled and case hardened, have a helical toothing and a controlled contour. Typical exterior paint is BLU RAL 5010. 

The GEARBOX is anchored through a torque arm which also contributes to the maintenance of the right tension of the belt and the brackets.

The SERIE is available in 8 different sizes, corresponding to 8 Nominal Inter-axes and 5 Nominal Reduction Ratios. Whenever it is not possible to use these ratios, we also provide special reduction ratios and gear grinding at request.

Also, AR Backstop Device is enforceable on every size. This ‘freewheeling’ equipment, which helps to prevent the driven equipment from running backwards, can be quickly implemented on the gear even without removing it from the controlled machine.
There are 2 ways of rotation: free rotation clockwise and anticlockwise. 

The RP2C SERIES gear reducers which are lubricated in oil and supplied without it, are usually mounted in the horizontal axis positions but, for some executions, might be fitted in the vertical one too. 

Shaft-mounted gear reducers are mainly used for controlling conveyor belts, bucket elevators, augers, mixers and crushers.
